Cursed Murphy is the punk-poetry-parlando noise rock entity fronted by writer and performer Peter Murphy in cahoots with Dan Comerford, Johnny Fox, Marc Hillis, Paul Bryan and the Gangnus sisters Rebecca and Jasmin. Spitfire syllabics with driving rhythms and industrial dirt, they like their Iggy & the Stooges, their Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen, Sonic Youth, Patti, Public Enemy, PJ, Neu!, you name it. The collective’s first album Cursed Murphy Versus the Resistance was voted Number 2 album of the year by readers of The Last Mixed Tape, and the follow up, Republic of the Weird, was Hot Press’s spoken word album of the year, 2022.

‘Fiery poetry and prophesy. Fantastic album.’ – Paul McCloone, The Undertones/Today FM.

‘…A raging industro-art rock howl of rage in these benighted times.’ – RTE Online

‘Cursed Murphy Versus the Resistance is not an album made to be ignored… It yells, it screams, it howls, to be heard…’ – The Last Mixed Tape

BARMP are a heavy-heavy monster sound from Wexford featuring Richie Mason, Tony McGuire, and Marc ‘Harvey’ Hillis. Over the last twenty years they have all been involved in some form with Laminate, Bengie, Department of Svelte, Ger Fox Sailing, Kerouac, Agency Panic & WOLFF. This epic journey now continues with BARMP, a loosely calibrated Noise Rock/Post-Hardcore power pop trio. The band’s eponymous debut EP was released in 2023 and scorched the eyebrows of the gods. Only a handful of gigs in and they’re already one of the best live bands in the country.

And just who the hell is Vanta Vamp?

‘A spell is cast, a black flame candle lit and from the deep reaches of pandemic lore and a fallen troupe of burlesque beauties, Vanta Vamp is resurrected. Called upon by the Cursed one, she has wrangled her band of VaudeVillains to accompany her sultry vocal, so seductive the sea witch would steal countless souls to wield it! So be prepared to question your morals and beg to be lured to the depths of depravity and beyond!’

Holy smoke! See you down the pit!
